What happens from the moment you write to us until the moment you leave — and why there is nothing you need to know in advance.

Questions
What if I feel nervous?
That is completely normal. Say so at the start — your therapist will slow the pace and explain each step. Nervousness tends to belong to the waiting rather than to the visit itself. You can keep your eyes closed, stay quiet or ask questions as you go, and you can pause at any moment without giving a reason.
Do I need to bring anything?
No. New slippers, a toothbrush and a comb are ready for every guest, along with single-use face towels, drinks, snacks and fresh fruit. Keep your phone at hand for the entry details we send on WhatsApp, then switch it to silent. If you have a question about payment, ask us when you book, so that nothing is left to the day itself.
Can I choose my therapist?
You are welcome to mention a preference when you write to us — someone whose profile you have read on our therapists page, or simply the language you would like to speak. We will tell you who is available at the time you have in mind. Having no preference is fine too: every ritual is tailored by your therapist on the day.
How early should I arrive?
No earlier than ten minutes before your time, and no later than the time itself. Appointments are spaced so that guests do not meet, which is why arriving much earlier does not work. You lose nothing by arriving on time: your ritual time begins only after you have settled in, showered and talked briefly with your therapist.
What if I need to cancel or change my time?
Let us know as early as you can — a message on WhatsApp is enough — and we will look for another time together. Every appointment is prepared in advance and spaced from the next, so early notice makes a real difference. If you would like to know the terms for changes and cancellations before you book, simply ask.
Most first-time guests tell us the same thing afterwards: the only uncomfortable part was the moment before they wrote to us. Everything after that — a personal confirmation, a calm arrival, a short talk with your therapist and a ritual they lead from beginning to end — was simpler than they had imagined. This guide walks you through the whole visit, so that nothing comes as a surprise.
There is no protocol to learn and nothing to prepare beyond arriving rested and on time. Your therapist leads; your only task is to let them.
COHEN is a private spa in Lipótváros, in Budapest’s District V, offering sensual massage with tantric elements. Every visit is by appointment and for adults only, and guests of all genders and orientations are welcome.
01Before you book
Choose a ritual by the time you want to give yourself rather than by what it includes. If you are unsure, First expression is a gentle introduction: it begins with a warm shower ritual and leaves room to settle in.
The three rituals differ above all in length. Special session is a focused hour, First expression runs for 100 minutes and More attention for 160. Each is tailored by your therapist on the day, so there is no need to decide every detail in advance; you can compare them on our rituals and prices page.
Write to us on WhatsApp or call during opening hours, daily 11:00–23:00.
Tell us your preferred day and time, and the language you would like to speak.
We confirm personally — nothing is booked until we reply.
A few lines are enough: the ritual, the day, the time and your language. If you have not decided yet, say so, and we will help you choose. Coming as a couple? The couple’s ritual is made for two guests together.
If you prefer, our booking page prepares the WhatsApp message for you. We work by appointment only, without walk-ins, which is what keeps every visit unhurried. Where possible, pick a time with nothing urgent after it; the ritual does not end the moment you leave.
And if you have a question — about a ritual, about payment, about anything that makes you hesitate — ask it now. A question is easier to answer in a message than to carry with you on the day.
02Arriving
Please arrive no earlier than ten minutes before your time, and no later than the time itself. Appointments are spaced so that you will not meet other guests. Everything you need for entry is sent to you on WhatsApp. If you are held up on the way, send us a short message so that we know.
We are at Hold utca 25, 1054 Budapest. If you come by car, street parking in the area is paid; ask us for the closest garage. Leave a margin for the journey. Arriving out of breath is the one thing worth avoiding, and a few spare minutes are easily spent on a slow walk outside.
Inside, there is time to settle. New slippers, a toothbrush and a comb are set out for you, and there is a shower before the ritual begins. Nobody will hurry you, and nothing starts until you are ready.
Your ritual time begins after you have settled in — the shower and the short talk are never counted.
03The short consultation
Before the ritual your therapist asks a few simple questions: how you feel today, whether there is anything to avoid, and what pace suits you. It takes a few minutes and is the foundation of everything that follows.
There are no wrong answers. Things worth mentioning:
a stiff neck, a tired back, or anywhere you would rather not be touched today;
whether you prefer firmer or lighter pressure, more warmth or less;
whether you would like a few words along the way, or silence;
that this is your first time, or that you feel nervous.
If you are unsure what to say, “This is my first time” is enough. Your therapist will take it from there. You can also say what you would like more of — a slower pace, longer stretches of quiet — and your therapist will shape the ritual around it.
If you have a medical condition, are recovering from an injury or are unsure whether massage suits you right now, check with your doctor before you book. Massage is not a substitute for medical or psychological care.
04During the ritual
Your therapist guides each stage — warm water, the massage, the slower, breath-led sequences. You can keep your eyes closed and you do not need to talk. Ask for any change at any moment: warmer, slower, lighter.
In First expression, for example, the stages follow one another without hurry:
a warm, fragrant shower with a soothing wash and a relaxing back massage;
a full-body massage designed to melt tension and settle the breath;
the tantra session: slow, attentive touch guided by breath and presence;
the body-to-body technique: warm, continuous, flowing contact;
a face and head massage to close the ritual.
The first minutes can take some getting used to. The body needs time to trust a new room, new hands and a new rhythm. Let your breathing do the work: one slow exhale, then another. If your thoughts wander, notice the warmth of the oil or the sound of the water, and come back.
There is nothing to perform and no right way to feel. Some guests drift close to sleep; others stay quietly alert from beginning to end. Both are welcome.
05Your boundaries
You are always in control of your own experience. Say “pause” or “stop” and everything pauses — no explanation needed. Our therapists have boundaries too; the etiquette exists to protect both of you.
You do not need special words. “Slower”, “lighter” or simply “pause” is enough, in whichever language you share with your therapist. If something does not feel right, there is no need to sit through it out of politeness.
Consent is continuous. The ritual is tailored by your therapist, always within what you are comfortable with — at the start and at every moment after. A yes at the beginning is not a yes to everything that follows. You can change your mind halfway through, even about something you enjoyed a minute earlier, and the ritual simply adjusts. In the same way, your therapist can pause if something does not feel right to them.
Each ritual has a clear shape, and your therapist decides how to work within it. If you would like to know exactly what a ritual includes, ask before you book rather than during the ritual. We would rather answer plainly than leave anything to guesswork.
06Afterwards
Take your time. There is a shower, a quiet moment with something to drink, and a small gift as you leave. Most guests walk out a little lighter and a little slower — which is exactly the point.
If you can, keep the next hour free. A slow walk, a glass of water, an early night: the evening after a ritual is part of it. Some guests feel unexpectedly moved, others simply sleepy. Neither needs explaining.
07A short etiquette recap
The full house rules are on our etiquette page. In short:
Come sober. We can only welcome guests who are not under the influence of alcohol or other substances.
Be punctual. No earlier than ten minutes before your time, no later than the time itself.
Silence your phone. This time does not belong to it.
Trust your therapist’s guidance. Let them lead, and say what you need.
Speak up early. If the temperature, the pressure or the pace is not right, say so straight away rather than at the end.
Adults only. Every guest must be 18 or over.
If you are still deciding where to begin, First expression is the ritual we suggest for a first visit: 100 minutes, €250 (100 000 Ft), opening with a warm shower ritual and closing with a face and head massage. When you are ready, write to us. We will reply personally, and everything after that can be slow.
